Just, don't call it a comeback.

I'm back.  Sorta.

I didn't mean to fall off the face of the earth. Well, yes I did.  Sorta.  Just so overwhelmed lately and the blogosphere was weighing me down.  I finally moved over to Feedly (thanks for nothin, Google Reader) and OH MAH GUAH, it done blowed up.  So much to read.  I really enjoy reading all about what y'all are up to, I do, but mercy.  Just too much.  So I felt guilty for writing and not reading.  So I just stopped.

And I wasn't sure I'd ever start again. I'm still not sure.  Maybe this season of life has passed.  Not trying to be all dramatic but good golly Pete, it sure is turning out that way.

I appreciate the emails asking "Where the heck did you go?" I think so much of these blog relationships.  Y'all are the best and I truly miss knowing that is going on with y'all.  I'm slowly getting back, but Feedly doesn't seem to like to let me comment.  I promise that I'm trying.  I'll figure it out.  So here, in a nutshell, is what I've been up to this summah.

OWS on mah burfday with the most beautiful sunrise I think I've ever seen. That's rain, y'all.

Raced a sprint just for fun.  Good thing, turned out to be a trail race and I was totes unprepared in my lightweight tri shoes!

Raced a 10K on Independence Day with all my peeps.  Managed to set a 10K PR, how about that? (I've only run one before so it wasn't really that difficult, ha!) Followed it up with an afternoon of OWS at the same lake we raced around.  Good day, good day.

Raced my first aquathlon and in a wonder woman suit, no less.  Came in 2nd in my AG.  Not bad for a girl who fiercely hates swimming. (it's the run, I may sink in the water but I still got some fuel left in these legs every now and then)

Raced a 25K at midnight in July.  That is ALWAYS a good idea.  As you can see, I have plenty of friends who also think that's a brilliant plan.  I've never run a 25K before so that was a PR, too. I think I'm on to something here.  How To Feel Successful - Run a Distance You've Never Attempted.  Look closely enough, you'll see my hair is pink for the occasion because, why not?

Raced my second aquathlon. Came in 3AG this time.  No superhero suit - the chafing just wasn't worth it.  Heed my warnings, y'all.

Did some camping and enjoyed the sunrise from a breezy tent.  We were treated to unusually cool weather so we didn't cook out there in the "wilderness."

Had fun watching The Cyclist do what he does best, kick @ss on the bike.

Made an unexpected purchase of a new wheel.  Long story.

Spent a lot of time on my bike.  Like, a lot a lot.

But almost all of it with this guy. Who rode at my snail's pace all summer long and never complained.  (who is very sneaky sneaky with the pics, as evidenced above)

My very favorite No Meat Athlete.

And in general, enjoyed all the summah has to offer.

As the summer winds down, I'm looking forward.  It's been a fantastic season, but I'm pretty sure it only gets better from here.
